Authors Guidelines
1. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Manuscripts submitted to Qubahan EcoLead Journal (QELJ) must be original, unpublished, and not simultaneously under consideration by another journal.
Submissions must fall within the journal's Aims and Scope and should make a clear scholarly contribution to one or more of the following areas:
• General Business, Management and Accounting
• Cultural Studies
• General Economics, Econometrics and Finance
• Visual Arts and Performing Arts
Interdisciplinary manuscripts connecting these areas are particularly welcome.
Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English.
2. TYPES OF MANUSCRIPTS
QELJ considers:

3. DOUBLE-ANONYMOUS SUBMISSION
QELJ operates a double-anonymous peer-review process.
The manuscript submitted for review must not contain author names, affiliations, email addresses, ORCID identifiers, acknowledgements, or other information that directly identifies the authors.
Author details must be entered separately in the OJS submission metadata.
4. MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE
Original research manuscripts should normally include:
Title
Abstract
Keywords
Introduction
Literature Review and/or Theoretical Framework
Research Questions or Hypotheses, where applicable
Methods/Methodology
Results or Findings
Discussion
Conclusion
Limitations
Implications, where applicable
Acknowledgements
Funding Statement
Conflict of Interest Statement
Author Contributions
Data Availability Statement
Ethics Statement, where applicable
Generative AI Disclosure, where applicable
References
The structure may be adapted appropriately for theoretical, humanities, cultural studies, artistic, or practice-based research.
5. ABSTRACT
The abstract should clearly communicate:
• the research problem or context;
• the objective;
• the methodology or scholarly approach;
• the principal results or findings; and
• the main conclusion or contribution.
6. KEYWORDS
Authors should normally provide 4–7 keywords that accurately represent the content of the manuscript.
7. TABLES, FIGURES, IMAGES AND ARTISTIC MATERIAL
Tables, figures, images, artworks, photographs, diagrams, and other visual materials must be numbered or identified appropriately and referred to in the manuscript.
Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for copyrighted third-party material.
Image processing or modification must not misrepresent the original research or artistic material.
8. REFERENCES
References must be accurate, relevant, complete, and genuinely support the claims for which they are cited.
QELJ uses APA referencing style unless another approved style is required for a particular scholarly contribution.
DOIs should be provided in URL format where available.
Fabricated references, citation manipulation, excessive self-citation, coercive citation, and citation cartels are prohibited.
9. ORIGINALITY AND TEXTUAL OVERLAP
QELJ screens submissions for inappropriate textual overlap and other research-integrity concerns.
Similarity percentages are not used as an automatic definition of plagiarism.
Similarity reports are evaluated qualitatively by considering the source, extent, context, attribution, quotation, methodology, and legitimate reuse.
Plagiarism, duplicate publication, inappropriate text recycling, fabrication, falsification, or manipulation may result in rejection or further action under the journal's Publication Ethics Policy.
10. RESEARCH ETHICS
Research involving human participants, identifiable personal information, vulnerable populations, or animals must comply with applicable ethical standards.
Where ethics approval is required, authors must identify the approving committee or institution and provide the approval/reference number where available.
Informed consent must be obtained where appropriate.
11. AUTHORSHIP
Authorship must reflect genuine scholarly contribution.
All listed authors must approve the submitted manuscript and the final Version of Record.
Guest, gift, honorary, purchased, and ghost authorship are prohibited.
Contributors who do not qualify for authorship should be acknowledged appropriately.
12. CONFLICTS OF INTEREST
Authors must disclose relevant financial and non-financial competing interests.
Where none exist, authors should state:
“The authors declare no competing interests.”
13. FUNDING
All sources of financial, institutional, commercial, or material support must be disclosed.
Where no external funding was received, authors should state:
“This research received no external funding.”
14. DATA AVAILABILITY
Research articles should include a Data Availability Statement.
Authors should make supporting data available where ethically, legally, and practically possible.
15. GENERATIVE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
Authors must comply with the QELJ Generative AI Policy.
AI systems cannot be listed as authors.
Substantive use of generative AI must be disclosed.
Human authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, references, evidence, data, interpretation, and conclusions of the manuscript.
16. SUBMISSION
All manuscripts must be submitted through the official QELJ Open Journal Systems platform.
Submission does not guarantee acceptance.
17. REVISIONS
Authors invited to revise a manuscript should submit:
• a clean revised manuscript;
• a marked or tracked version where requested; and
• a detailed point-by-point response to reviewer and editor comments.
18. PROOFS
Following acceptance, the corresponding author will receive the publication proof.
Proof corrections should normally be limited to typographical, formatting, metadata, citation, and production errors.
Substantial changes after acceptance require editorial approval.
